Are you set on predictable and safe red, nude, and pink manicures? Try a new edgy color this season with a grey mani. This color gets a bad reputation for being dull and muddy but there are literally 50 shades of grey and then some!

From bold metallic to glitzy sparkle, and whether you spell it grey or gray, this nail color is the way to go.

It's a neutral color and looks great with cool tones and other neutrals. Really, it goes with just about every color! This is one mani that can go with any outfit and take you from day to night.

T.V best friends and their style

Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Emily Fields, and Hanna Marin
Pretty little liars (2010-present)
These four best friends, with their own secrets, are harassed and bullied by an anonymous person via text messages, emails, and messages written in lipstick on mirrors (ooo scary). The only person that knew these secrets was their other best friend, Alison, who was murdered. But the question is, is Alison still alive? They each have their own style. Aria wears dark hues and has a bohemian look with an edge, Emily is sporty and more laid back, Hanna is girly and glam, and Spencer is preppy with a men's wear inspired look mixed with femininity

 Lucy Ricardo & Ethel Mertz
 I Love Lucy (1951-1957)
These two had a knack for getting in and out of trouble and sometimes their husbands were the ones to feel the ramifications. They schemed together with Lucy being the one with the hare-brained ideas and Ethel being the voice of reason. Their style is typical of the 1950s housewife. They wore a-line dresses with collars, scarves on their heads and around their necks, gloves, hats with netting and checkered patterns.

Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen
Gossip Girl (2007-2010)
These two best friends have been rivals and are the ultimate frenemies but in the end, they were always there for each other. Their Upper East Side upbringing reflects in their designer and glamorous clothes. Blair's style is very polished and classic with her ever present signature headbands. Serena's style is fashion forward and boho chic with a little sexiness.

Who are your favorite T.V best friends? How about ones not on this list? Let us know in the comments!

Camille's Closet trunk show and sale event!

This past Saturday, two-thirds of Wil Harris (Monia and Etta) went to a trunk show and sales event in Atlanta, hosted by Camille's Closet, for a sneak peek of their upcoming collection. The owner Aaren Camille was such a pleasure to meet; she definitely has an eye for fashion. Camille's Closet consist of geometric jewelry, stylish handbags, girly and feminine clothes as well as her colorful nail polish line, Camille's Nail Colour (CNC). We had a great time shopping the collection and were super excited for the 50% off the jewelry!

An eclectic assortment of jewelry, from studs to chandelier earrings. We spy those cute leopard print square ones near the bottom right.
Statement rings that make a statement.
More jewelry, more love!

Forecast? A little drift.

Fashion's forecast looks pretty good this coming spring and summer but with a little drift, a mid drift that is. The crop tee of 2012 is coming back with a little update. Instead of baring your whole torso, the mid drift (rib cage area) gets its chance in the spotlight. This look is reminiscent of the 90s and was seen on the spring/summer 2013 runways of Richard Chai Love, Jason Wu, Peter Som, and Rebecca Minkoff.

From left: Richard Chai Love, Peter Som, Rebecca Minkoff

In 2013, the mid drift top is being paired with high-waisted bottoms for those fashionistas who want a little peek-a-boo action without revealing too much. This trend is flattering on most because it showcases the smallest part of your torso, the rib cage. Remember, with this look, you're not showing your whole torso but only the mid drift, so dare to bare this spring and summer!

Inaugural fashion galore!

Yesterdays inaugural events were a momentous occasion and one that had us glued to the television. A week of festivities that included the Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony, Inaugural Address, Inaugural Parade and numerous inaugural balls and galas honoring the elected President of the United States was filled with inspiration as well as fashion galore. Oh the fashion, the fashion!
Michelle Obama started out on the right foot with the public debut of her new bangs while wearing a Zac Posen embroidered dress at the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House on Thursday.Vogue Daily — michelle-obama-inauguration-3
At the kid's inaugural concert on Saturday, Michelle wore a recycled look with her crisps white Victorian bustle piquet top from Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 collection with a neon yellow rhinestone belt and red kitten heels. She wore this same shirt back in 2011 where she gave a speech at the University of Oxford. Sasha (left) wore brown suede knee-high boots, a purple-and-pink polka dot cardigan and black-and-white plaid skirt, and Malia (right) wore a mint green sweater tucked in to a full blue skirt with a knotted belt, red ribbed tights and slouchy black ankle boots.

Strapped and flattened!

We love us a good pair of high heels. They instantly change you're attitude when you slip them on but by the end of the night your feet my be crying from that uncomfortable elevation. That's why our closet is filled with cute little ballet flats (sorry fellas!).

There are a wide range of flats and one of our favorites are the ones with ankle straps. Not only are they comfy and stylish but add a great feminine detail to any look.

Style icon: Sophia Loren

Italian beauty, Sophia Loren, is truly one of a kind. She was first introduced to Hollywood and the world in the 1950s and soon became an international star. The world got to see her exotic features, voluptuous curves, and acting chops while being one fashionable woman.

Not only is she known for her famous curves but being the first actress of the talkie era to win an Academy Award for a non-English speaking performance for her role in Two Women, a 1960 Italian film. She is credited for being the most awarded Italian actress in history.

Her style consist of elegant gloves, wide-brimmed hats, silky scarves, and over-sized sunglasses while flaunting her natural curves in a classy and glamorous way. When asked about her voluptuous figure, she said, “Everything you see, I owe to Spaghetti!”

This living icon gives us great style inspiration so we've put together her sexy but classy style. Enjoy and happy Thursday!

Diagonal mani!

Manicures are a fun and easy way to give yourself an easy and affordable makeover. Adding a little something extra, like a nail design is even better. We loved Lauren Moffatt's diagonal nails inspired by her quirky spring/summer 2013 collection from fashion week.

If you're not that great at doing nail art, then a diagonal nail art is the perfect fit for you. Start with a fresh coat of nail polish, wait for it to completely dry, and freehand a diagonal tip with your nail polish or use scotch tape as a guide. If you have an old or chipped manicure, It's as easy as painting a diagonal tip on your nails to cover up any imperfections.

A prisoner of fashion!

It seems that our blog background is trending for the spring with the classic black and white stripes. They're are not just for jailbirds, well at least the ones on TV anyway, but for the fashionistas who want a classic modern look.Stripes were popular on the Spring/Summer 2011 runways and now, they're coming back with a sleek aesthetic. They were seen on the Spring 2013 runways of Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, BalmainIssey MiyakeMichael Kors and Moschino.

We love that this look has two trends in one: black and white and stripes. You get the simplistic flair with black and white and the edginess with the stripes. We also love that not all stripes are created equal. There are vertical, horizontal, small, large, and can be find on a  swimsuits to dresses to hats.

Stripes can be intimidating, especially if you're not use to wearing them. Black and white stripes are easier to wear because they're not in bold shades, like apple red or tangerine orange. Start off small with accessories like a clutch or a pair of chandelier earrings. You can also play it safe by paring them with other neutral colors like navy, brown, or tan. For a bold fun look try a little mix-printing with leopard, polka dots or florals. Remember to have fun with it and experiment!
