On point and in step with style!

source
Pointed toe shoes are back with a vengeance, sorry to all the almond shaped, square shaped, and round shaped shoes out there. These shoes are the perfect finishing touch to any look. They come in a variety of styles like ballet flats, pumps, and boots. And... they also elongate your legs, giving you the illusion of a longer, leaner form. So why not right?!

Bright Tights
source

Just when you thought those summer dresses were gone for fall and bright colors were taking a hiatus, bright color tights came into the picture to splash our world with color. Add a pop of color to your outfit and make those cold dreary nights cherry with bright tights.

Jewels, beads, pearls, flowers, and diamonds. This season, embellishment is everywhere and they can definitely spice up any outfit. We are loving embellished sunglasses and think they super cute and fun to wear.

Here is our simple DIY we did with bedazzled beads:

We used:
A pair of black sunglasses
Bedazzled embellishments
♥A glue gun
 Tweezers

You can use any beads or embellishments you want from any craft store. Find a pattern you like before you glue them on. Once you glue on your desired pattern, use the tweezers to get rid of any extra glue. You now have you embellished sunnies!

Fashion inspired by Rugrats!

Growing up in the 90's was some kind of wonderful and we think it was pretty close to utopia! We were probably the last generation to actually play outside all day until the street lights came on. We also had the best cartoonsRugrats was one of our favorites. When our homework was done and while our mom cooked dinner, we use to watch this show, aww memories!

Who knew one of our favorite childhood shows could be such a fashionable inspiration.

Fashion inspired by:
Tommy Pickles
At just one, Tommy is the leader of the babies and also the smartest, bravest, and most adventurous. He's best friends with Chuckie and has some serious bowlegs.
Dress/Belt/Clutch

Chuckie Finster
The oldest of the babies at 2, Chuckie is the opposite of Tommy. He is the scaredy-cat of the group and always opposes their many adventures.
Shirt/Necklace/Skirt

Angelica Pickles
Angelica is 3 and is labeled as the mean one of the group. She's an only child so her parents spoiled her rotten.
Dress/Cardigan/Scarf

Susie Carmichael
Susie is kind and compassionate when it comes to the babies. She and Angelica are sometimes rivals but they are really friends
(3 year olds)!
Dress/Belt/Mary Janes

Phil and Lil Deville
Phil (boy) and Lil (girl) are twins who do everything together. When they're arguing, they call each other by their full names, Phillip and Lillian.
Dress/Necklace/Clutch

It's a zoo!

It seems like anything is a trend these days, so we weren't surprised to see animal face sweaters as one of them. This trend is up there with the holiday sweaters but then again, even those can be fashion forward (check out our post here). You can layer it over a crisp white button down, paired with a pleated skirt or a patterned blouse paired with flared jeans; the possibilities are endless with this look.

We think this is a fun trend to try but it can turn into a fashion faux pas; you might look like you shopped at the clearance bin at Good Will. Start with choosing your favorite animal, then your favorite color and pair them with your favorite pair of jeans or skirt.

Fashionable at the tips: fall nails

Summer nails were fun, bright and colorful. Fall nails will still be fun but in a more chic and elegant way. As we say see you later (because we don't believe in good-byes, especially when it comes to fashion) to the usual pink and red color palettes of summer, we also say hello to fall colors. Here are 6 of our Favorite nail trends of the the season!

1. Burgundy is a classic and rich color, no wonder it's one of the colors of the season. Black nails have been a statement for a few seasons but burgundy is the new black.
Try: Essie bordeaux, $8.00

2. These cute retro black and white polka dot nails are definitely eye-catching and hit the nail on the spot.
Try: ASOS Nail rock polka dot wrap, $11.55

3. No shiny top coat for these nails! They're super elegant and are devoid of shine but still shine in every way. A layer of a matte top coat is all you need for a perfect matte finish.
Try: Orly Matte top nail polish, $10.00

4. Metallic gold was everywhere at fashion week from skirts to of course the nails. They give you a little bit of shine whether it's the traditional gold or the super shiny metallic.
Try: American Apparel metallic nail polish, $6.00

5. Cobalt blue is another color that graced the runways of fashion week. It's the perfect back drop against fall's muted colors and the perfect color for a "fall bright."
Try: Essie Aruba blue, $8.00

6. Studs have been seen on shoes and jackets, and now they can be seen on nails! Glitter nails were popular during the summer months and these studded nails are the perfect alternative...with an edge.
Try: Lulu's DIY studded nails
