Universally Flattering!

Some items of clothing look great on all shapes and sizes. Let check them out!

Wrap Dress
Belgium-born designer Diane von Furstenberg gave us her signature soft jersey wrap dress in 1972 that created a national phenomenon. Every woman can benefit from the look and fit of this style. You can mask your least favorite places and highlight the areas you like.

Pencil skirt
This classic piece was created by Christian Dior in 1940 and hugs a woman's womanly curves in all the right places without being trashy. It's all about staying and being classy. You can keep it office ready with a blazer or ultra sexy with six inch heels.

Black Suit
You can never go wrong with wearing all black (well, sometimes but that's another post!) It's appealing, sturdy, and downright chic. The fitted jacket covers problem areas like the stomach or arms. Wearing all black is the ultimate chicness.

Trench Coat
The tailored look of the trench hides all your flaws and then some. The belt can define the waist for a more polished look or be worn loosely for a more casual look and that's not even the best part! It can be worn with everything, day or night.

What are some items of clothing that you find universally flattering? Do you have any in your wardrobe?
Happy Friday!

Aztec inspired prints!

Reminiscent of the bold and geometric patterns attributed to the Aztec people, Aztec prints have inspired many to indulge their wardrobes with these beautiful prints. It's a fresh and edgy way to rock the printed trend this summer.

For day, you can wear an Aztec inspired top with cute denim shorts and some ballet flats or team them with cropped jeans. For night, you can go more adventorous with an Aztez inspired dress or jumpsuit and pair them with neutral heels and accessories or match your accessories with a specific color from the print.

From dresses to shorts, leggings to accesories and blaazers to nails, there is nothing that you can't find in these beautiful prints. This is one print that works nicely in the summer as well as the winter, so go ahead and buy that Aztec-inspired top...because mixing prints is also fun and bold!

You're about to get an Aztec-inspired overload, so get ready!

A trace of neon

neon neon neon
There has been a neon craze this season; neon nail polish, neon heels, neon skinnies, neon make-up and yes even neon hair. The Cambridge Satchel Company neon messenger bag (pictured above) have been everywhere and were probably one of the first to kick start the trend this season.

Trends are fun but sometimes only last a couple of seasons. You can be inspired by a trend and tweak it to make it your own style. That's the best part of it all, because "fashion is what you're offered four times a year. Style is what you pick out of that fashion" (unknown author).

If you're unsure about incorporating neon into your wardrobe, try a trace or hint of neon. Instead of that bright pink blazer, go for one that has trimming around the edges. A little hot pink never hurt anyone!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to our Daddy who is a man of God, a wonderful husband to our Mom, a great Dad, a loving pastor, a hardworking man, selfless to the max, stubborn as a mule, a kidney transplant survivor, a wonderful Grandpa, and a good story teller. We'll say the only thing that our Dad needs help with is his wardrobe, but don't tell him we said that :)

Our Dad holding all 3 of us in the hospital.
From left: Neka, Monia and Etta
We so proud of him. He received his doctorate in ministries last month. Now he's the Rev Dr. William BGK Harris. He did all this while being a 24/7 Pastor and when we say 24/7, we really mean 24/7. His phones rings all the time; morning, noon and night!

Our Dad wanted a girl so badly that he prayed for three years! Now we say we got one for each year he prayed. Three girls at one time...

Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers!

Pinky and the ring!

We've seen rings being worn on the thumb,
Snake thumb ring.
the pointer finger,

the Middle finger,
I wish I knew where she got the first ring she's wearing on her middle finger, so amazing!
and the ring finger,
ring finger
but sometimes the pinky finger gets overlooked and neglected. That can be changed with a sparkly diamond ring, a statement ring, a giant cocktail ring, a simple gold band, or even rings stacked on top of each other.

The  pinky ring is an unexpected accessory that can give your hands an extra kick along with that new manicure! We've seen a lot of men wear the pinky ring but they're definitely getting a feminine touch with glam, sparkle and shine.

Hair Chains!

Wearing a hair chain can be a fun way to change your look. They're delicate and simple and add that wow factor to any outfit. It's fun and can give you a subtle glam look. Try them with a simple vintage t-shirt and jeans to dress it up or a lovely bright summer dress. You can make your own with household items or use an old necklace, or a not so old necklace and drape it over your hair and secure it with hair pins.
