Universally Flattering!

Some items of clothing look great on all shapes and sizes. Let check them out!

Wrap Dress
Belgium-born designer Diane von Furstenberg gave us her signature soft jersey wrap dress in 1972 that created a national phenomenon. Every woman can benefit from the look and fit of this style. You can mask your least favorite places and highlight the areas you like.

Pencil skirt
This classic piece was created by Christian Dior in 1940 and hugs a woman's womanly curves in all the right places without being trashy. It's all about staying and being classy. You can keep it office ready with a blazer or ultra sexy with six inch heels.

Black Suit
You can never go wrong with wearing all black (well, sometimes but that's another post!) It's appealing, sturdy, and downright chic. The fitted jacket covers problem areas like the stomach or arms. Wearing all black is the ultimate chicness.

Trench Coat
The tailored look of the trench hides all your flaws and then some. The belt can define the waist for a more polished look or be worn loosely for a more casual look and that's not even the best part! It can be worn with everything, day or night.

What are some items of clothing that you find universally flattering? Do you have any in your wardrobe?
Happy Friday!

  1. Great and classic pieces that will never date. I admit that the wrap dress has never been for me, but the black suit and trench coat I love and wear with glee!

    1. Sometimes it can be hard to find the right wrap dress but the trench is a littler easier.

  8. I agree with most of these. Five years ago I could pull of a pencil skirt flawlessly, but after a 15 pound weight gain I have yet to find a pencil skirt which doesn't make me look dumpy. :S

I'm obsessed with trench coats. I wish I owned one in every color!
