Childhood nostalgia

Remember the good old days when kids spent summer days playing outside until the street lights came on, Saturday morning cartoons were more than Saturday morning cartoons and friendship bracelets were given to best friends at the end of Summer camp? Well, who would have thought that the good old days would come back to 2012 and give us a much needed nod to childhood nostalgia with an updated version of the friendship bracelet!

According to Friendship-Bracelets.net the origin of friendship bracelets were invented by Indians in Central and South America. With the tradition, you tie a bracelet onto the wrist of a friend who may wish for something at that moment. The bracelet should be worn until it is totally worn-out and falls off by itself, at which moment the wish is supposed to come true.

The friendship bracelet is a fun way to add a playful spin to your adult wardrobe. Rhinestones, gems and charms have given the playful jewelry a touch of glam. Rock these vivid, nostalgic beauties stacked on top of each other like arm parties by pairing them with a menswear-inspired watch or sophisticated bangles for an updated look. No matter how you wear it, DIY and gift one of these to a close friend. Don't forget to make a wish!

  3. Such a cute post! Friendship bracelets were so hot in the 90s! I got mine from my BF in 5th grade and I still have it and we're still BF. I never wear it but I might make a new one and give it to her.

    1. Thanks Jessica! Friendship bracelets were a apart of the 90's, no decade like it right? That is so sweet that you still have your friendship bracelet and are still friends with the person who gave it to you. That is rare and special! We're sure your friend will love the one you make and remember the time she gave you one. :)

    1. We still think it's fun but the look is not for everyone. The one's from Etsy are a more mature way to wear them. How about those?
