Spots and stripes, oh my!

source

Experimenting with contrasting prints like stripes and polka dots can be bold, quirky, and make you stand out in a crowd... when done right of course.

It is a challenge but it can be a fun one to try. The goal is to have one small print mixed with a larger scale print or pair a light piece paired with a dark piece.

You can try it with colors in the same family, add a pop of color, or go crazy with color!

Keiko Lynn from Keikolynn.com paired a light piece (top) with a dark piece (skirt) and added cute accessories.
Tam from Helloframboise.com did a beautiful job with this look. The pop of color in the stripes and the buttons balance the look out beautifully.
Try the look at the office.

Mixing different dot sizes is also another way to try this look. Paring it with colored pumps gives it another wow factor.
